EDITORIAL – MESSAGE FROM DANIEL FREY (CEO)
I am very pleased to introduce you to Nicolas Roucos who has joined the team as General Manager of Inspira Santa Marta Hotel.
Nick’s career in the hotel trade began in Belgium and then took him to France and England where he gained experience in various management roles culminating in his appointment as a general manager of a hotel in the suburbs of London. Before joining Inspira Nick was already working in Portugal as Director of Operations for another hotel group.
A dedicated team player, Nick describes himself as open, positive and determined and is already proving to be an asset to the Inspira team. Outside work nick enjoys spending time with his family and keeping fit playing various sports. Since currently he is putting in long hours in the run up to the hotel opening, we are doing our best to keep him in his toes at work too!

But Nick is not the only newcomer. Unfortunately there are too many new team members to welcome everybody by name here but suffice to say that we have been busy recruiting and
filling positions in both the management and operational teams – so much that we no longer had room for everybody in our pre-opening office.
As a result the teams are already installed in the Inspira Santa Marta offices where training and induction programmes are being run on a regular basis. I am delighted to say that despite the logistical problems of lack of space prior to move, everybody is showing a high level of motivation, collaboration and commitment, as well as demonstrating initiative and a strong desire to grow and learn. These are the seeds that are already showing the signs of flourishing into a dynamic and eager team spirit.
So we have already moved in – but what about the question on everyone’s lips?
When will Inspira Santa Marta Hotel open to the public?
Inspira Santa Marta Hotel will be opening its doors in March. Building works are being concluded and fixtures and fittings installed so that everything will be in place to our and our guests satisfaction when the hotel officially opens – our philosophy is not only “doing the right thing” but doing things right too.
